Industry Scoping Analysis

The scoping/analysis will utilise industry liaison and identify the relevant skills, knowledge and overall competencies required to be proficient in the area of "cloud computing".

The initial phase is to identify the relevant skills/knowledge within the different recognised industry certifications and to incorporate those skills/knowledge into a project matrix based on relevant AQF levels. The "IBM - Cloud computing Reference Architecture Model" will be utilised to clarify and identify the relevent technical levels of Cloud Computing requirements.

The second phase will be to overlay the matrix across current units of competency
  • to determine whether any units can be updated to include the relevant cloud components
  • to identify where new units will need to be developed

The third phase will be to update/develop the required draft units of competency for consultation

Communication

As the matrix is developed it will be available for review and comment. Wiki members will also be regularly notified as major changes occur
